This is not indicative of my normal style of play, but it does show some common mistakes.

Hand 1: Villian is somewhere in between maniac and calling station, on his second buy in. I really just wanted t otake the pot down on the turn, to prevent a draw out, but I ran a serious risk of being called by a weak A or A9/A3.

The min raise let BB in with suited crap, and I paid it off.

Hand 3: Villain is solid, and his bet on the turn told me i was beat, but i couldn't let go of top pair. On the river, I was committed to calling the small value bet.

Hand 4: Min raise strikes again!!! I didn't realize I was making these little raises until I reviewed the session. It is not a normal play for me. Villain is a calling station post flop, but solid preflop.

I could have won this hand on the turn with a big follow up bet, but after a couple losses I was playing weak-tight.

Hand 5: I would like some comments on this one. Its a possible fold/raise pre-flop, but what can I put Villain on wit hhis pre-flop UTG limp?

Hand 6: Cold- calling w/ QKs hoping for a monster, then calling down like a fish. I don't know what I was thinking here.

All in all a horrible session for me(-$250), but good to look back on and think WTF!!!
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

When raising, like you did on the flop in the first hand, try to raise to a more serious amount. Maybe 150 would have been more serious than barely over a minraise...

Second hand your preflop raise was weak. I like to raise 4x BB with a limper to encourage the limper to bail.

Hand three... if you play JT, don't consider one pair an out. You have a bad kicker...

Hand four I wouldn't do anything with it since so many people play a weak ace

fifth hand I'm feeling good about raising after the flop to find out who's ahead
sixth hand as well

hey, you might have been beat, but I think it's a raise or fold situation in both hands
