I think playing separate hands vs the same player on two different tables at the same time has some important psychological effects. I have recently been experimenting with different ways to take advantage of the impact it has on the other player. This is an example of one of those hands. Villain in this HH is waitamin08 a 25/20 TAG who seems pretty solid. My image has been pretty snug lately and I'm running around 23/20.

This hand happens first.

I bet the river as a bluff, expecting to fold out his Ts and 88 99 type of hands. At the same time this hand was happening on another table we were playing at.

I donked the turn immediately after betting the river in the previous hand. He called the river bet in hand 1 and showed up with 55 which I found to be very surprising. After calling in the original hand villain calls my donk lead on the turn bringing a Jh as the river card. Whats my line?

In terms of the psychological effect of this: i always assume that both are more probable to be strong if a player does this. I assume that the first bet is more likely to be weak, the 2nd one rarely being a bluff.
As for other people, i have no idea. I'd think smart players realize the 2nd one isn;t a bluff (although its really a different line altogether so mabye not).

Regarding the hands, I really hate double barreling the turn in the first place. Since this player probably doesn't have any hands with 2's and 4's in his range, when he calls the flop to have a pair he has to have a pocket, or Tx. A lot of people will c/c this with A high. So basically your doubling into a strong range on the turn, AND he's not gonna give you any credit. Just double barrel tight when the A comes on boards like these.

Hand 2: Lead flop, i assume this guy is gonna check behind this board a decent amount (if he's c-betting everytime ignore this advice). As played, i like the turn lead. As unbalanced as it is, the bet has a ton of value and if you check a lot of times you're letting T8 and hands like that draw with sick sick equity.

I agree with Max,

Although I would say that if he folds the first one he'd be more likely to call the 2nd one since he'll be "frustrated." I like in general the first one being a bluff here and the 2nd one being a hand versus just some rando solid player at 5/10 you described.

Versus a very good midstakes reg or a highstakes reg id probably rather vbet the first and bluff the 2nd.
