Commerce Casino $200 No Limit/ $3-$5 Blinds. I was in the small blind hole cards are KK. 6 players call when its my turn i bet out $20. Got heads up with the button. Flopped 9 98 (2 spades) pot was $70 and i bet out $40 button calls and the turn was a K heart. i check to him he raises $40 and i raise him $75 more. Thinks for a while and he folds. Says he had 8 2. The thing is that i thought he initially raised $50 on the turn, thats why i popped it up $75 more... if i actually was paying attention i would have made it $60 more to go for him. i think if i did do that i would have gotten a call and maximaxed the play. He thought i was BSing. what do you guys think?

You played it fine. The diff between raising it $75 more and $60 more is not worth even considering.

No you played it fine tho I tend to lead for 60 on the flop if the pot is 70.

too small raises all the way, otherwise an ok play if you had a solid reputation, with laggy image I would just keep firing.

the usual raises in that game is $12-15. I intially made the that $20 so that im able easily to get away from the the hand if an A flops. I agree on the turn i should have made it a lil higher on the flop. Though I had a tagg image on the table...

The real question is: What is the usual amount to raise to get only 1 caller when you have 6 limpers in front?
When the button called, I can't believe you didn't get more players to call. The EP players must have had total crap hands, or be crappy players with no idea about implied odds. Any PP and most SC are justified in calling here.
You should still be able to get away from an A high flop with a $30 PFR and it will isolate better. Good hand. I raise $75, don't think twice about it, and don't mind getting a fold here. NL is about making you opponents make bigger mistakes.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.
