That is a sick call.... I guess it could also be argued it's a bad call as he only beats a random hand. I don't think very many people in the world would make this call, you have to be sick in the head to call down 16k with ace high. However, thats change compared to our bankrolls.

That's so awesome. Hahaha...Then again, I might do something like that at a 10 nl table. He must have an absolutely crazy bankroll to allow himself to do that at those stakes. Even against a super LAG.

Good call but Friedman left with over 60k and matusow rebought about 4 times when I was watching.

Yeah sorry armstrong but matusow was just holding spirit rocks money for a while. laster that night spirit rock walked away with all matusows money after a few buyins . 60k or so

Isn't it funny how at some point the skill of hold-em ascends to a level where masters can be sitting around looking like idiots who know nothing about hold-em.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?

I don't understand what prahlad was thinking calling with that junk. I mean, sometimes I will call a raise with rags early on in a session to advertize, but Q-6 off? When you're calling with rags like that, your only chance of taking down the pot is by bluffing. And Matusow is probably one of the last guys you want to be bluffing against; he will call you down just because he doesn't like you. The only time I would ever sit down at a table with Matusow is if I knew he hadn't been getting his meds.

Great point, I thought the same.

As we've seen in live tournaments though, many times Matusow actually plays like an idiot who knows nothing about holdem.

Now that is funny. I can imagine losing 20k could make you a little cross. I haven't seen Matusow on Full Tilt recently, but i know Spirit took a whole load of cash off of him a couple of weeks back.
