SB is Jem87, utg is sekt1. sekt is a looser TAGG who loves to triple barrel bluff, but the recent times ive played with him i slowplayed many times and he triple barreled away his stack at least 3 times. So i decided to raise thinking he'd probably get it in with all overpairs, AT (i think he has ATo in his utg raise range) and maybe bluff shove.

JEM87 plays 27/22 and he's extremely solid. i don't think he ever has T6s in his preflop range, maybe 96s (i doubt it though...) I mean if this is true i guess i'm answering my own question. he raised pretty fast, like within 5-10 seconds. Can i possibly put QJ in his range?

Button ($1000)
SB ($1227)
BB ($1000)
UTG ($1232)

SB checks, UTG bets $70, Hero raises to $190, SB raises to $560, 1 fold, [color=#666666][i]Hero

I agree its a sick spot, I just can't imagine ever folding this in the moment while playing.

I agree that he's probably rarely doing this for value with worse, but at the same time I feel like I do stuff like this on occasion in spots where I know what I'm repping looks SOOO strong and it will be hard for the other two players to continue without the nuts. Because of that I doooo think QJ is certainly possible.

It really depends how likely villain is to want to make some kind of play here, or turn a weakish hand into a bluff.

He'd probably fold QJ knowing him.

I'd fold.

Please forgive my basic, and probably easy, question here (this is way, way above my stakes and opp levels).... but if UTG likes to 3 barrel bluff why do we not flat his cbet and let him value himself with worse hands?

lol, by we, I, of course, mean you guys since I am very, very far away from this level.

Well i'm not defying logic here or anything, you're just either misunderstanding me or i didn't make it clear. Sekt loves to triple barrel, yes, but i had caught him last session doing it 3 seperate occassions (and 2 of those times i slowplayed, he also knows i can flat AA here). So up against me i just thought he wouldn't want to do it anymore.

thinking back on the OP i didn't make that clear, oops

Reading this and then re-reading OP I now see what you meant. Still not used to players that actually adjust their game. Thanks.
