Starting with the standard 'I don't play these stakes, but...' wouldn't he smell something fishy with the flop c/c ? What was your decision behind not betting the flop? i take it his reraising range is big?

For exactly that reason... pot control.
I really don't like calling the 3-bet OOP with t9 with only 100 BB stacks.

if he doesnt reraise preflop much you have to put him on a good hand so just lead the flop or c/r the flop
i dont like preflop much either

agreed on preflop being bad, i like betting 1/2 pot on the turn here. Reason being is that it balances with the times i have a vulnerable hand like TT and am blocking.

I had been raising a lot, much more than I usually do, at this table, that's why I put him on a pretty wide range when he 3-bet me preflop, and that's why I called. If I had put him on AA-QQ only I'd check-raised the flop for sure, but I thought playing it like this would give me most value both if he had nothing and if he had AA-QQ. And do you guys really go for pot control with AA in a reraised pot only 100bb deep? If I was in his spot I'd make a big bet on turn and get the rest in on river, why wouldn't he put me on TT-QQ playing it like this?

I think that's exactly why he checks the turn. Are you really stacking off with QQ or 10s in this spot? Not necessarily, so in villains mind the only hand you're getting it in with here on the turn is a 9, 33 or JJ, all of which have aa crushed. So I think his turn check is fine, and when you lead the river he only beats a bluff or KK so he calls.
I also think you have to lead or c/r flop if you want to get his stack here.

i would be more likely to fold if he has a wide range, or not raise in the first place

Not sure if you're referring to my post or not...but I definitely wouldn't c/r it. Maybe lead/fold to raise but most likely check/call and see what his agression is like on the turn. Maybe that's a big leak of mine though.

PF sucks, CR flop, or if c/c then lead turn.
You could provide more info about the dynamics, images, ranges etc here.

Yeah I questioned this too. From an outsiders perspective it all just seems so much better to bet the flop. How much check calling goes on in this game and does TT, 88, 77 etc really do this often enough for balance?

I am just not comfortable with leading, I am trying to do it more often. CR is just so much better because you get the c-bet almost every time. Also, because this is such a nice board to try to CR bluff he cant get away from AA-KK here that easily.

I do it with all sorts of hands, but mainly against villains who balance their play by checking the flop behind. Against villains who c-bet nearly 100% I dont do it too often.
