 550 dollar 6-max tourney at turningstone. Everyone starts out with 10k chips blinds start at 25/50. levels last 40 minutes.

History: First hand i sat down Shaun Deeb raised on the CO and i 3-bet him with AA on the button, he folded. Immediately we start talking and he tells me who he is (For those who don't know, he's an online MTT player who also playes midstakes cash) and i communicate to him that i play online. over the next 20 or so hands i 3-bet him 3 other times, with A2s, 99, and TT. The only one of these hands he's seen is the 99, where i ended up making a thin value bet on the river and he paid me off with 88. I assume that he thinks i'm pretty good and not a donkey, and he definitely see's me as aggro since i've 3-bet him a lot.

He's been playing quite loose but straightforwardish postflop. I felt he missed some bluffing oppourtunities against donkeys earlier in the tourny.
Here's the hand:
SD has about 10k, i cover.

SD raises on the CO to 125 (his standard raise size), i call on the button with :Jd: . a loose passive donkey in the sb calls and the tight passive bb calls.

flop comes :Td:

two checks to SD who bets 350, i smooth call hoping to keep the other two donkeys in. the donkeys fold.

turn is :Kh:

SD bets 600, i raise to 2k, SD calls.

SD announces that he's checking dark.

River is

After asking what his stack is, then counting the pot and thinking for about a minute, i bet 4k. He c/minraises to 8k which is almost his entire stack...

I tank and fold.

 I really don't like your flop call. The reasoning I want to keep the other guys in is dumb. They're calling range to a raise is very similar to their calling range to deebs bet.

Turn I don't think you can really do much different, I kind of like a bet size of 2400 rather than 2k as it seems essentially the same type of range.

River I like how you played it, but when he checks in the dark I really want to check behind (even though lol we really can't). The check in the dark is really fishy for a few reasons. 1. I see no reason why he would do it logically and it seems like he's doing it to just fuck with you and sound cool because he knows he has the nuts.
2. There are some bad river cards
3. idk it just feels weird that he would do that

Your hand can so easily be really good too so he's not going to do this with a worse 9 it'd be suicide.

 I would have checked behind on the river, since your hand is certainly not a monster in a 4 way raised pot. Turn raise could be smaller as well(WA/WB). I don't mind the way you played it at all though.

I think you should raise the flop, also for balance.

Why are your raising the turn? More specifically against which hands do you want value? Basically you're overrepresenting your hand (QJ/boat)..

I'd just call and get more value on the river vs. alot of the marginal hands in his range.

River is an easy b/f, he didn't miss a draw, your line is very strong and he can't expect you to fold.

 busto: We're playing against each other like it's a shorthanded cash game, so the value of my hand is going to go up a decent amount. And i have a pretty aggro image, so it's not like he's just going to concede that i have a 9. I considered just calling the turn, but I could see him calling the turn raise with KJ, and KQ, as well as 9x (he could really raise any suited 9 pre).

And it's obvious to me now that i should have raised the flop.

hes betting 3 streets here, then calling a substancial re raise on turn.

from a good player, with such low blinds and deep stacks screams totalitarian steriod busting strength.

after he flats your turn raise, alarm bells should be ringing. its puke and fold to any bet time.

the icing on the cake is checking dark, he is obviously completely confident in his hand to do this .

id be surprised if he had anything but kings or tens here
