Wow, super good read on the set hand.

Did you figure he would have most likely paired his K or Q on the turn and river or did you know he would think the monster overbet was a bluff?

I'd probably entertain the former and still value bet the river for 350.

I thought he had hit two pair, possibily top two and didnt think he would lay that down. Turns out he just didnt believe me lol, his hand wasnt all that great. I think he just played it really poorly.

All together though, its amazing how hard the players at 3/6 are.. bmixcle was right lol! The insane amount of smart aggression that occurs is hard for me to deal with at times. I can see how you can go bust quick at this level.

This guy likes to chase.. his check on the flop told me he didnt have any made hands. When he called my turn bet I assumed he was on a draw. When all the draws missed, I bet and sure enough he folded.

I haven't been there in a while, but once in a while you run into a few gems that donate a couple grand to the table.

A good example of when to slow play.. once the guy had the FH of Aces full of 2s he couldnt lay his hand down, and my A6 FH was pretty much invincible from the start..

Also note the small "token" bet on the turn to induce a raise from Thinkin

Repping the high pocket pair, even when called is important. You just have to bully the lower pocket pair out, and they will fold eventually.

Of course, it helped I had a tight straight image at this point.

This hand illustrates why you have to make people pay to draw, sometimes by ridiciously overbetting the pot.. this guy was willing to dump his whole stack in on crappy odds (75-25 in my favor to be exact) on the turn just for the chance of hitting that ace high flush!

i'm curious what your talking about repping the higher pocket pair and making lower one's fold out.

If that guy had a pocket pair he should've re-raised you on the flop....
you're playing longball with AJ and while occasionally this is a good play, blind aggression or doing this too much will cost a lot of money. He could've easily been calling a set on the flop.

and the full house hand i don't see how you aren't getting his chips. the min-raise war was pretty funny however.

There's no way a guy with a pocket pair below the highest card on the flop re-raises, thats too risky. If anything I have top pair and he's beat.. or an overpair..

When you can get Top pair mid kicked to call off 100 bb on the river when you have a set, I'll tell you it was a good read too.

On another note, stop being an asshole.

How am I being an asshole? I was asking a serious question. Your comment just makes little to sense. Good read by just betting down? That's a standard play.

Standard play eh? You obviously havent played at 3/6 NL yet.. The key was I pushed all in as opposed to just betting a more marginal amount, and got called.

Trying to get all in with a nearly unbeatable hand is pretty standard to me. I don't understand how it was a super strong read that made you do this. Whatever, I don't really care. AWESOME READ BRO. nh.

On this hand, why did you chose to bluff this guy? He was the initial raiser, and that's a pretty dangerous flop. What do you do if he calls your raise? Do you play longball and bet out again? Just curious.

The minraise was a setup for a turn bet.

Or

Only an ace will call him so if op raises with a range that includes enough hands other than A-Good, he's got a good chance to win it there.

I think I'll leave. This forum sucks. Daniel Negreanu's forum is more knowledgeable than this piece of shit.

And getting someone to pay you off by leading down with a completely fucking standard betting pattern DOES NOT REQUIRE AN AMAZING READ.

This statement is correct.

Now, can you tell me why it has no relevance to our conversation?

In the future over at Danny's forum, when you're discussing a hand, it helps to decribe the hand accurately. Hero leads down to the river, when he makes a massive overbet on the assumption that either op hit two pair or op will read massive overbet as bluff. He's missing a lot of value if his read is wrong here. If you can't understand this statement, I can't help you.
