I don't have much history with this opponent. Basically he's a looser TAGG who's been 3betting me really light in position (from a past session and this session). I've been mostly folding, i might have 4-bet him once. His postflop game seems straightforward so far.

I think KQ is a pretty sweet hand to float with here oop on the flop, since he's probably double barrel bluffing Q's and K's on the turn, and i can basically bluff most rivers when he checks behind the turn (although i'll get position owned sometimes) because he obviously expects me to have a made hand here given that i haven't done anything to make him think otherwise/

88 is 100% check for me

Can you explain? I rarely oop float, especially with overs, but KQ seems like a good hand to do this with and i've had success using it like this (not neccesarily 3-bet pots either).

So you blew your opponent off AK/AQ here?
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

Floating oop with K high in 3bet pot = lol, especially if we think a K or Q to be gin. We'll just get valuowned too often. A good handreader (not necessarily this opp) will also own us since on the river we're not really repping many legitimate hands.

Vs a light 3bettor we are better off 4betting or planning to crai some flops than trying to play 3 streets oop I imagine.

I'm reminded of that 2p2 thread in HSNL where everybody was offering a challenging player who felt position was overrated 2:1 if he gave them the btn every hand.
