Villain is 21/16/3.8 over ~1k hands but I have no reads. Give him credit for J9 here? Or slowplayed set?

I do this alot, but I always end up thinking "why didnt I just fold turn". On this board there are so many ugly cards to come on the river. He's gonna be able to bluff us (or vb if he hits) alot if he hasn't got us beat right now and we'll check behind the second best if he does. I like a fold.

I doubt opp is bluffing but if he is no doubt he is going to bet the turn and river and you're going to have to call both streets.

I'm just trying to get into his head, if he's bluffing here I'd think his thought process is he can rep two pair or a straight and if he doesnt raise the turn he'll have to fold river.

if he is creative aggro then only credit i give him is for having balls to float me oop like that and shove him right there. as always depends on player i can call or fold depending on what i expect them to do on river with missed draws.

pantherhound is on a distinguished road
how often would someone of this type in this game be expected to raise the flop with J9?

There are a few hands here that you beat but i'd just fold right here.

And you should consider folding pre if your table is tight with these stack sizes.

alright but cmon dont be so tight about vocabulary... balls=courage thats all there is to that sentence. isnt important what the post says and not how is it said ?

it is all courage and thats a good spot for agro to semibluff and win it right there and as u see nits suggest folding TPGK right there so it works...

Yes. But your three posts in this thread have said nothing. First you said you could raise, call or fold depending on the player. Great insight, esp when I said I had no reads. Second you said you don't think he has a set or J9 but gave no reasoning. Third you said balls=courage.

I folded, but it didn't feel good. I think QJ and non-nut flush draws are in his range here along with J9 and I can't imagine he's c/c'ing this flop with TT/22/QT.

then u should reread them again i said how i can play this against agro and why...and maybe its +EV or maybe i'm wrong.. i'm just giving some ideas... i missed out u had no reads - i think i mixed the reads from other thread about some agro. big deal. its stated how i would play it against agro. about j9/set, if u dont understand what 'last thing i give him credit for xyz' which means that its only part of his range for taking some action then sry. gl.

maybe this is a little to fancy but seems like this could be a big draw betting big so you don't raise unless you have a mega-monster (what do you do with AA-KK here?)
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?
