I think i'd raise a callable amount, up to 1K and try and get the rest of my chips in on the river, i can't see any hand that really beats you here unless you're playing scared of boats.

Well AJ and A8 beat me but more likely he has AQ or any other variety of hand with an ace in it. The question is how to get in the most money and stil get called.

Well you've pretty much both established that you both have an A or a boat by this point. He has to know by this point that you have an A, so he is either willing to go with his A/boat or not, so min-raise his ass and if he calls push on the river.

I call. Then reraise his riverbet. For all he knows you could be a fool with KK or QQ. Might be better to smallraise though.

I dunno. Is the opponent really going to call an all in with a weak ace? I'd be more likely to call it down and let him overplay than raise. I don't see him calling an all in with anything but AK or a boat. What about the reads and game background?

Min re-raising the turn leaves you with only about $500 and after the re-raise there will be about $2.5k in the pot. I think this way you get the most of it if he has an A. It can naturally be that biggish bet on turn was to check the waters and after your re-raise he still can escape with KK/QQ..

Without knowing anything about OP this is exactly how I play it. Then again I don't exactly play like aces does.

If you show a willingness to simply call down players buying pots then they tend to bluff less at you. Of the 10-20 players I see almost every day, I'm rarely bluffed at, and they don't buy pots off me nearly as often as they would.

Honestly, What hands does he really call here that you would beat? AQ AT are about it. It is very possible he has AJ, 88, or on a bluff, which is hard to know just reading a hand history.

C: Bet he has shown a willingness to showdown loosing hands. Call down if he has shown more of a willingness to bluff pots.
