I had been at this table for less than ten minutes so no strong reads on the villain. He seems like a decent player and has been aggressive pre-flop over the last dozen hands or so, and has just put a shortstack all-in pre-flop with kings last hand. What should I do here?

I call. If he has the str8...well...nh. I think he bets here with a lot worse hands (JT comes to mind as does QT ). And the T is obviously a scare card for you. With that pot it's gotta be +ev to call. It almost looks like a blocking bet...but I'm too much of a wimp to raise with that board.

... Are you asking whether to call or raise? Obviously you don't fold ... There's over $250 in the pot and its $75 to call and you have a set.
Easy easy call. If you're beat, oh well, next hand.

I would rarely fold in this situation as well. In fact I raised. Results coming soon.

Just call, raising is only gonna get you called by the 9.

I'm not sure how this is even a difficult decision. Easy call.

** Dealing River ** [ Td ]
DSnyder9521 bets [$75].
igetgreens raises [$150].
DSnyder9521 calls [$75].
igetgreens shows [ 5c, 5d ] three of a kind, fives.
DSnyder9521 shows [ 9c, 9d ] a straight, eight to queen.
DSnyder9521 wins $469 from the main pot with a straight, eight to queen.
I min-raised, villain just calls fearing AK and takes the pot down. I played the turn and river poorly. I should've raised more on the turn, and should not have min-raised on the river because only J-10 and Q-10 are paying me off.
I think a case for a bigger raise on the river can be made, repping AK. Given the tight play I had been seeing from him, it was unlikely that he would have lead out for half the pot without the nine. I'm fairly certain he would've folded to a bigger raise.

Yea I have no idea why you raised. This seems like a standard call.
