Villain is a stationny reg, hu specialist, and a bit spewy in 6max in general. He's a very good hand reader though, able to make huge bluffs, calls etc etc. He views me as TAG-LAG but straightforward postflop.

Comments on turn and river appreciated. Just gonna say on the turn its sort of a value bluff, where I wanna protect vs his overcards/high diamond hands but also setup a river bluff. And river is a straight up merge on any diamond, I can see him calling with worse but im also getting owned sometimes. I'll post more detailed comments after i get some feedback.

Well, if you bet the river definitely think before you do so at least for a bit.

I think the turn is a fold. As for raising here I don't think its bad as a very occasional play. Therefore, at first I thought you need a better bluffing hand than this to raise this turn. I can only think of a few possibilities though, and 5d5x seems like the only hand we could possibly have here that would be a better bluff.

That being said, I think the biggest mistake opp is going to make in this situation is calling the turn and river bet with a hand like mid to strong two pairs, and if we bluff at all we are making that mistake a tad bit better.

Therefore, fold turn.

On a side note I just check the river too, your going to win a lot and the times you are not winning he's going to call.

I don't get it. I don't see a lot of air in your range, so I don't see a need for merging either. Why would he call you light here? I mean what does he put you on?

I'm not a big fan of the turn raise either. Villains range is really weak and he knows it. We're drawing almost dead too often.

I think I'd fold the flop.

I think he peels the turn so often just because of his spewiness. Stuff like any Ace, any pair + straightdraw, pair + fd, two pairs, sets.. I also assume he'd fold those on a blank river.

Am I crazy for thinking he can call river with worse, given that my line doesn't make a ton of sense with any hand other than QdXd or KdXd, and even those are discounted because I'd RR them pre, or I'd c/r flop.

From his point of view it could be KQ/KJ/QJ/AQ/AJ/AT with one diamond. With which unpaired hands are you raising the turn and betting the river that have no diamonds?

For him to call with worse he pretty much has to assume that you have turned a made hand into a bluff. I don't like it bro...

Villain has a very clearly defined air range here. Perfect spot to merge imo.

I don't mind the turn raise. Knowing this particular villain, I'd imagine he's betting almost his entire range on this turn, other than hands like 88-TT with a diamond potentially.

I think we should take it down on the turn a fair bit.

I think once we're called on the turn, he has a lot of hands like Ax with a diamond or two pair/set type hands. So I think the river is kind of close, though I wouldn't be surprised if we value towned ourselves a lot on this river shove.

I think when we're called here we're called more when he has us beat than when he decides to hero call a set here. I like just checking it down, and maaaybe hero c/cing.
