The Odds God
I never made a thread like that before, but let's see if we can get some discussion going on. This forum has been pretty dead lately.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

SB ($777.95)
Hero ($1139)
UTG ($1586)
MP ($793.20)
CO ($1000)
Button ($1225)

Preflop: Hero is SB with XX
4 folds, Hero raises to $40, BB calls $30.

Flop: ($80) 4, 6, T (2 players)
Hero bets $60, BB calls $60.

Turn: ($200) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $160, [color=#CC3333]BB raises to $500

I am up against a thinking villain (let's say 2+2er or FTRer) who is capable of making moves, but is not crazy. This villain also knows that I fire this turn card with 90% of my range. What is your calling range?
The secret to success in poker is to rig the odds in your favor.

This is a tough spot without timing tells, flow of match, how often you two are blind battling etc.

This kind of flop he can feasibly call with his entire range (all straight draws, mid pair type hands) and he can obviously turn his entire range into a bluff on this turn.

His turn bet is essentially a push so clearly no fold equity.

I think if I only have a pair in this spot, I'd definitely like to have at least the Ac or Kc along with it, just in case we're behind. I don't mind Irisheye's range.. the only problem I see with these hands: Ac4,Ac6 is that he can feasibly turning better thands than that (77+) into bluffs.

I stoved some of Irish's range against what he could show up with on the turn if he's potentially raising his entire range.

Board: 4c 6c Th Qc
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 46.242% 46.24% 00.00% 15789 0.00 { TdTs, 99-77, 6d6s, 4d4s, Ac9c, Ac2c, KcJc, QTs, JTs, Jc9c, T9s, 98s, 87s, 75s+, 53s, AcTs, Ac6s, Ac4s, QTo, JTo, T9o, 98o, 87o, 75o+, 53o }
Hand 1: 53.758% 53.76% 00.00% 18355 0.00 { Ac6d, Ac6h, Ac6s, Ac4d, Ac4h, Ac4s }

I guess its pretty close either way.

This seems way too much specifically read dependant. Some players are going to be polarized one way to AQ or better, some the other way to just FD's or semibluffs or total bluffs. If i have no idea at all which one this guy is i think i'd have to have a good two pair to shove over this.

I agree with this, that its super super read dependent. I mean, that range I included above is ridiculously wide and assuming that he'll turn his entire range into a bluff on that turn card.

I don't think this is generally true, so we should obviously have a tighter range then. Against someone spewy/bluffy though, that range could be ok.
