2.6k deep at 5-10 vs a reg with whom I have a spewy history (i.e. he thinks I spew, not vice-versa). In general, villain is an aggro tagg, kind of stationy postflop and pretty aggro pre.

I raise btn w he calls from SB

flop

I bet 55 into 70 he CR to 161 I call

turn (pot 400$) is

he checks pretty quick. I taaaaaaank and check back (I don't have a heart).

Riv is board now reads and we has a straight.

I think for about 4 secs after villain checks and bet 500 into 400.

After about 4 secs, villain makes it 1.1k

I?
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

I don't think he folds any made hand if you shove here, but he probably has a flush or some stupid bluff often enough that a call is better. I still think a shove is a very sick play here.

You aren't considering a fold here right?

I don't like folding because I assume you would never check back the turn with a flush. I don't really understand why villain would check the turn with a flush either so I rly think you've got the nuts here.

Why the overbet on the river? It looks very bluffy to me, which is what I thought you wanted. You are repping a big hand when villain knows you never have the flush. So how can you fold now? Please don't fold.

Who's villain?

Given pot odds and the fact that he believes we never check a flush back on the turn, I flat his c/r.

Overbet is kind of funny, not sure how he'd react to that really.

Given your bet sizing and the fact that you're polarized, I don't see why he wouldn't just jam with a hand strong enough to raise here. So his sizing seems weird to me.

Also, imsta has the tendency to spazz out sometimes, so I definitely call this.

yea id fold, but ur biggest problem is overbetting the river it makes no sense in context of the hand with any possible holding. betting 2/5 to 2/3 pot is much better because you can either vbet some good 2prs/sets in the mix or turn some weaker one pair hands into bluffs depending on his timing/ ur image.
I got more flava than fruitstripe gum

I don't remember seeing a turned flush play like this before. Perhaps it's good vs you if you peel this light on the flop, haha.

I'm thinking you bet that much on the end because you wanted him to call your BLUFF bet (like it looks) or fold if he had nothing. Would he raise with anything except a flush if your river bet looks like a bluff? He has to have AIR to raise on the end if you are winning. So, he has air or a flush.... have you ever seen him raise this much, on the river, with air?

If you have seen him raise on river, with air, in a smallish pot, then call. If not then the info you were looking for you have, and you can fold.

I do the same very often, too often in fact. I search and search for info, and then when it is finally apparent I disregard it because I just can't believe it. Messed up man...

He knows you're a spewy player and trapped you perfectly. I really don't understand your play on this hand. Should have folded on the flop IMO.
