I currently play 200 and 400nl. i am rolled to play 600nl. My ultimate goal is to play at 1000nl. My sng game is decent as i can consistantly beat the 20 dollar sngs for a good profit (don't laugh i know its pretty low). My bread and butter used to be sngs (used them to build my roll)but I win a lot at the nl ring games as well.
OK basically my question is this: From what I have told you guys, what do you guys recommend my path be? Should I grind higher level sngs or should I move up to 600nl? What would be the best way to build my roll from my current position? And if you guys recommend higher level sngs, what would be a good place to start?

I'm building my roll in 400 and 600, and I think that's the best way to do it. Not that hard to make 15k with a good month of 400/600NL, so it can be pretty fast.

If you are crushing the 200 and 400NL games and you are bankrolled for 600NL like you say then why are you not playing 600NL yet? Surely it wont take you too long to build a role for the 1k games if you are playing the 600NL ones and beating them at a decent rate?

Its probably better to build a roll for the bigger cash games by playing cash games.

Umm play 100k hands of 3/6 NL with a decent win rate and u will have a butt load of loot. Then do the same at 5-10.

You could bang 300 fat chicks and charge them $50 a time.

I think you'd make more an hour playing 600NL, but that depends on how many fat chicks you could do an hour of course. I'd say you have to do at least 3 an hour if not more, and that might be hard to do in the long run. And I also think you need more like 700-800 chicks to have a decent roll, it's a good suggestion though.

Now that's Performance Poker!!!
Been playing money poker for 34 years and decided in 2002 to try that TX Holdem game on TV. Then found Pokerstars in Summer 2005. Still not an overall winner but i am on a good trend and nearly there.

ok appreciate the help guys. one more thing. is there a big jump in skill level between the 400nl and the 600nl? between 600nl and 1000nl? i play solid tag in 200 and 400nl and it works with patience. will this approach work at the higher levels as well? will i have to change my game up?

5PTbb/100 is good. to play 1000 NL it would be a bad idea to build the roll you need through sng's. Just find a middle stakes game that you can beat until you, your roll, and skills are ready for 5/10.
