misclick?

your vagueness has provoked me into replying. maybe that is what you were after, so i'll bite.

why is this a good laydown? need more information to agree with the badassedness of it. stack sizes are relevant so if you have those please share.

1. let's assume he had Qc10c to give him nut straight and highest possible flush draw w/ straight made on turn:

http://twodimes.net/h/?z=1643507
pokenum -h 9s jh - qc tc -- jc 5s 8d 9c
Holdem Hi: 44 enumerated boards containing 5s Jc 9c 8d
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
9s Jh 4 9.09 40 90.91 0 0.00 0.091
Qc Tc 40 90.91 4 9.09 0 0.00 0.909

If that is what he has, then badass it is. Odds are about the same if he has 88 or 55, cause you need a J or a 9 in either event to win.

2. Let's just give him a decent draw, like OESD + nut flush:

http://twodimes.net/h/?z=1643510
pokenum -h 9s jh - ac tc -- jc 5s 8d 9c
Holdem Hi: 44 enumerated boards containing 5s Jc 9c 8d
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
9s Jh 29 65.91 15 34.09 0 0.00 0.659
Ac Tc 15 34.09 29 65.91 0 0.00 0.341

It's a little tough to tell from the HH, but this looks like $3/6NL. Three to the flop makes that $18 PF and then $25 from each on flop makes the pot about $90 on the turn. That is where he leads out for about 1/2 of that and then you fold? You have odds to call, but more likely, you want to raise not fold.

This seems so read oriented that we need more information about everywhere. Maybe that is his 'please come over the top of me' bet, if that is the case, it's something you knew before this hand and then made the badass fold. But for now it just seems like a bad fold.
In answer to your question... it depends...

I can see a worse 2-pair playing the same way, but that's about all you beat here...

Exactly. His flop play suggests he has no interest in finding out where his hand stands, which to me means straight draw or set. I can't see him playing the turn this way with a hand I beat- I put him on 55/88/67 and folded since stacks were reasonably big.

I don't get why this is bad ass.. Seems an easy fold. If you had folded 55 it would've been bad ass.

why do you only post brilliantly played hands, but never your poorly played hands you need advice on.

I thought that was kinda the point of these forums.

interesting, what range do you put him on then?
it is such a weird play if he doesn't have it...

And Renton, I didn't post this while jerking myself off because I thought it was amazing, I posted it to see what others thought of the situation, much like any other ordinary post on this forum...

And Possessed...how does this post have less merit than your retarded AA hand where you didn't know what to do postflop after calling a reraise PF when the guy pretty much screamed in your ear that he had a set of queens...

nutsinbro, your post has no merit because you never discuss reads, stack sizes, or table image, and you expect everyone to just fill in the blanks. You never really justify why your fold was "badass," and quickly dismiss those who disagree. Are you even looking for feedback, or are you just here to let everyone know how much of a "badass" you are?

nutsinbro, I don't see how you can compare this thread to mine, as my AA thread had actual content and generated lots of discussion on reads/lines etc. Also does it make me "retarded" because I posted a losing hand, or should I just post my winning hands so that everyone thinks I'm a "badass"? I did not say your post was worthless because I thought you made a bad fold (which you did), I said your post was worthless because you don't bother to explain your actions or provide any insight into the hand. In other words, I was criticizing the quality of your post, not the quality of your play.

nutsinbro, instead of expending your energy resorting to ad hominem attacks against clearly superior poker players, you should focus on making posts that actually contribute to the forum, k nutsinbro? Glad we had this talk nutsinbro

Horrible laydown. Have you considered the possiblity he has a smaller two pair?

THIS THREAD IS BEAT
NH PO$$E$$ED

the reason i didn't post any reads is because his line seems so peculiar, I wanted everyone to assume he was a random player and have no other info
the more appropriate title would have been "tough laydown: bad or badass?"
Anyone who says it is "horrible" is a bad player, it is extremely marginally bad at worst, given that I'm likely to be put to a very difficult decision on the river

Also, one thing I'd like to add that I feel is worthy of discussion is that I Bwned Renton's mom 2themax.
