Villain is a good loose reg. No relevant history.

Seems like a pretty bad spot to bluff, and I honestly don't remember ever having taken this line as a bluff before on a board like this (doesn't mean I never have).

I was pretty sure that he isn't bluffing with this sizing so I think fold >> call. At least it's pretty good for meta if he calls imo.

CO: $2,492.00
BTN: $1,000.00
SB: $2,167.00
Hero (BB): $1,000.00
UTG: $1,547.00
SB posts SB $5.00, Hero posts BB $10.00

Pre Flop: ($15.00) Hero has 6 8
fold, fold, fold, SB raises to $30.00, Hero calls $20.00

Flop: ($60.00, 2 players) A 4 8
SB bets $40.00, Hero calls $40.00

Turn: ($140.00, 2 players) J
SB bets $110.00, Hero calls $110.00

River: ($360.00, 2 players) 2
SB bets $305.00, Hero raises to $820.00 and is all-in

Raise flop?...

If he's capable of folding AQ/AK I don't hate it, but its not repping much and it sucks that spades bricked. I'd rather do it on a 5,7, 9 - something credible that we rivered a straight draw or two pair.

Could explain why I've never caught a good player bluffing here.

Because you always fold AK to this shove :P I do try this, never works. I also expect everyone to be pretty bad and not able to fold ever in big pots. This would have a lot more merit if you shoved for like 1.1k instead.

I fold AQ here against a 5/10 reg without even thinking about it.

You don't play at FTP. It wouldn't even occur to me to pull this kind of lol play on a eurosite.

I'd absolutely raise the flop here.

As played, I mean I'd really only do it if you think the guy thinks you're someone who is a total nit. The only nut hand to put you on is AJ.
Check out the new blog!!!

raise flop!

i actually don't mind this bluff as played. you rep something like (in order of likelihood) aj, 88, 44, 53ss, a2 for value, all of which should be somewhat discounted. Total i think you rep maybe 8 combos or so for value given some discounting for reads. Given he can hold all nut hands that should leave you bluffing with around 1 combo of something, maybe not at all... and you are giving him a great price

that being said, his value range contains a ton of combos of aces- probably close to 70 as well as maybe 35 combos of bluffs and maybe 35 combos of nutty 2pr+ hands. this bluff is so fucking insane, and just god awfully terrible that he might just think you're never bluffing and decide to fold those 70combos of Ax which makes this bluff awesome given the price you get to make it.

against a really good player this will never work, but against an intermediate player it might work enough
I got more flava than fruitstripe gum

Raise flop, probs fold river, and calling>>>jamming imo. There is def more of a flat nutted hands for deception dynamic on ftp but the vast majority of people will never give you credit here with a f draw on flop, and this guy doesn't sound very foldy to me at all, so I don't like the river jam.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.
