Villain is 31/10/3 over 200 hands. He has been 3betting a lot recently, but not me. My only note is that in an earlier hand he 3bet pre, checked behind an AT4 two-tone flop, raised a turn donkbet and folded to a 3bet push getting great odds. So he may be bluffy.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Holdem Ring game - Blinds: $5/$10 - 6 players - Converter

Stack sizes:
Hero: $3377
UTG+1: $1794

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with J J
Hero raises to $35, 2 folds, Button calls, SB raises to $130, BB folds, Hero calls, Button folds.

Flop: 4 4 5 ($305, 2 players)
SB bets $280, Hero calls.

Turn: 7 ($865, 2 players)

sux cuz your hand is face-up and if anything, at the top of the range he puts you on

seems pretty 0 ev vs a thinking aggro villain

raising is kinda sick though and I think I prefer it to calling
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

If villain knows this, shouldn't we call here then?

I don't think this is necessarily at the top of the range villain puts him on. As long as you play AA/KK like this from time to time. I don't see why we can't have AA/KK here. Call in position PF. Flat call the rag flop.. there are some draws but I'd be more worried about the hearts than 67.

btw i obv wasn't saying it was a great place to bluff, just suggesting that I'd prefer value-bluff raising to calling if you're continuing, unless you're convinced about calling a river barrel.

It should get him to fold QQ, big draws and maybe KK once in a blue moon. Also for protection, since if he ever 2 barrels TT or 99 (unlikely I know...), you're prob never getting any money out of him on the river unless he hits a 2 outer.

Too bad this isn't 100bb or I'd just shove the flop.

Yeah, I probably fold too.
