Villain is a regular at 2/4 & 3/6, haven't seen him at 5/10 before but I don't play here much. Standard taggy stats, 22/18/3 and we don't have any history that I'm aware of. This is my 2nd hand at the table. Hand before he raised from UTG, I 3bet him from the BB and he folded.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Holdem Ring game - Blinds: $5/$10 - 5 players - Converter
Stack sizes:
UTG: $2238
CO: $1072

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with A A
UTG folds, CO raises to $35, Button folds, Hero raises to $120, BB folds, CO calls.
Flop: T 9 Q ($250, 2 players)
Hero bets $180, CO raises all-in $952, Hero...

I think the majority of his range is QQ-99, which we're way behind. There's a chance he has KK, but he wouldn't push with it. QJs and JTs are definitely in the mix if he calls with them pre-flop. I think AQs probably just calls the flop. Other thoughts?

Are we more or less likely to call if the flop is JT9/QJT?

prty easy call, considering you can put in a combo or two of AK and other random semibluffing hands

its pretty close to being a call even if he never has KK

Depends a lot on villain. Some villains ranges are just too wide here to fold others have 2 pair+ too often to call. Just figure out which villain they are and act accordingly.

I wouldn't like it since villain probably will just take a free card with J-x, and i could see him checking behind with TP suspecting a trap. The only hands i see villain definitely leading with are hands that are beating us.
I think if we check this flop it isn't likely villain is going to try to take the pot away from us with junk often enough to make it as profitable as bet/calling and getting it in vs. a range that would also include OESD's.

meh, I called, so maybe I'm being results oriented. Still, I don't think a good villain is doing this with anything besides QQ-99, and very occasionally QJs/JTs/T9s. I think AQ and KK are much better off calling in his spot.
Results:
Villain had 99

why not with JT,T9,JQs ? if he shove he will fold out better hands and have million outs + very good FE. if he call and miss and u bet him on turn he wont have good odds to call. imo, it is just great shove in that spot. probably there are beter flops - lower ones - to do this tho cos there will be more big overpairs willing to go broke.

i think this is one of those spots where u can make a weak fold if you are Zook and you only play like 4 hands a day.
If you are a high volume player and could give two fucks about variance then i think u pretty much have to call this.
