Honestly I don't know much about 20 buck besides that i hear he is insane. We have played together a little bit. My image is pretty straightforward and relatively tight preflop. 20 Buck has been threebetting me a lot pre.

If I had a Q here I would often lead turn here for about 200, since if I had a strong Q here I wouldn't want to risk the turn checking through. So with 99 I prob do the same and lead the turn 200ish.
If he flat calls the turn lead, I likely c/c river, and if he raises I'll probably dump it.

I'm interested on complete reasoning on this, as I don't grasp exactly why a smaller bet here is easier to bluff.

20 buck is probably good enough to realize that this board is not the kind to bluff, yet not good enough to know that you're thinking he may bluff it.

ISF why do you alwasy get a boner over gabes posts?
As for the hand, i would normally fold the turn, but against a select few ops i would call, and if i do so i sure as hell am calling any non-ace river.

No. This is Poker_jedi from Party Poker 4 years ago. I'm thinking of coming back to the internet poker scene.

Yep. That's me!! Thinking of coming back. Not 100% sure yet. Haven't played internet in a long time. I have many more responsibilities now, then I did back then. Not nearly as much time. Would probably be for like a couple of times/month or so.
To the above poster, I was Poker_jedi on PP from mid 2003 to early 2005. Then I left. Ilikeaces took the name pokerjedi86 on PP after my departure. It seems he has done very well for himself. I have actually sent him a pm b/c frankly I'm looking for some help with some stuff. Particularly how to adjust to the 100xBB max buy-in which really hurt my game, and I never took the time to readjust. A couple of months after the switch on Party Poker, I just left and went into hibernation, Obi Wan Kenobi style. It seems ilikeaces at first also had some trouble with the switch but recovered so I was hoping he could give me some pointers.
There is something that perhaps the forum can help me with...How is FullTilt and PokerStars legal? I thought Bush passed a law making it illegal. That really deterred me from playing, but then I found out there were still some poker sites online. At first I thought it was probably only foreign players playing or people with bank accts outside US. So let me ask, how can US players still play poker online, and it not be illegal????
Thanks for your help guys. Post responses here or pm me if you have questions/comments.

Yo,
Pretty much the bill that passed did nothing besides make the games a hell of a lot tougher. The UIGEA only was made to prevent financial institutions from knowingly funding internet gambling sites. Fortunately, its impossible for them to track every check, and e-checks has become a deposit method for many. If you look in the poker news section here, you'll see an article about how congress is going to reevaluate the bill because it has seemingly done nothing.

its mad easy to bluff cuz what hands are you bet/calling on the flop that you are checking on the turn? its like gabe said ... it's really easy for him to bluff here, or value bet you thinly since he has position, and he can control the size of the pot since he took the initiative on the flop.
against a player like this if im tangling i like to just put the 3rd bet in on the flop and hope to get him to try to jam w/ a merging weaker pair or jam w/ a pure bluff since my line looks fishy.
what can u really do, u can check call the turn again, but it's 100% guessing game on the river if he fires again, and just calling to hope he shuts down i know u know is inherently bad too.
