25/50, villain is a 6-max reg i sometimes see at 10/20, somewhat of a bumhunter. sb is fishy.
This may be one of those spots where it's good to make a sort of protection bet just because a) he misses a lot and we can take down a large some of money right now b) most people will bet the turn here with a balanced frequency c) sometimes we will get value from players who are spazzing bare high cards.
And d) we basically always have Ten (in you include an out for a runner runner fd) good outs so its kinda like a monster draw.

I think it's fine as long as he cbets AK/AQ. Calling seems better against someone who will c/f his overs a lot.

If he's threebetting a lot and cbetting a lot then i do this. Otherwise id call.

This hand is easy because we have huge equity, but what about 88 no spade, or some other hand that doesn't quite have enough to call a shove? Would you prefer to raise and fold to a shove instead of calling in order to protect your hand?
What about 88 if the flop was T25rb?

The interesting part about these boards is usually people will value bet turns pretty thin and also bluff a good amount of their draws, putting you in a sticky situation if you have a hand like 88 here. Calling the flop basically sets your opponent up to play correctly. I'm thinking maybe with these kinds of hands, since the difference in EV of calling and raising the flop will most likely be negligible given the way the hand plays out, You may just want to raise 88 so you can have a turn range that a typical player will misplay.
I'm not raise/folding 88 though.
Also it's a way easy call, in general, on a T52 rainbow board with 88.
