Live 2/5 NLHE (6 players)
Effective stacks ~500
Hero: QhQd

Villain is unknown, just came to the table. This is literally the first hand he played. Whats my flop play after he raises?

All fold to Villain who makes it 17.00 on the button, Hero re-raises to 55.00 from the small blind. BB folds, Villain calls.

FLOP: A74 (2 hearts) POT: ~ 115.00

Hero bets 85.00... Villain makes it 300 total.

Hero??

if he looks serious, i cbet and fold
if he wears pink shirt and scuba suit, i just check fold or check call and go from there.

I feel like folding here is soo weak though. Everytime you face aggression in this scenario, fold is the correct play?

Push if you think you're ahead. Why, are you expecting him to fold if you push? He has an ace, it's okay, fold and move on.

(also I'm not sure 2/5 live counts as high stakes for future ref)

I'd need a big tell that he's bluffing to continue here, and we don't have that.

I don't get how you are playing 500NL and are asking this trivial question.

This is a club game in VA.

Anyways, I don't understand why you think I cannot play these stakes??? This is the only stakes the room offers besides 1-2nl and the blue moon 5/10.

I meant to post this in the medium stakes forum btw.

I folded and villian showed me K7 fwiw.

dont be results oriented. good fold. And the reason people are asking why you are playing these stakes is because its a standard fold in this spot.
