. you may lose value from Jc, but I think you greatly increase the chance of winning a nice pot from Qc/Kc. And if he has none of it this is clearly the play.

Why not bet the turn? Do you think he's peeling the flop with a hand like top pair and will fold to a turn lead? What was your plan if he bet 350-400 on the turn? I think c/r is crappy bc he folds everything but flushes, and if you c/c you risk having a 4th club come that will kill your action or the board pairing.

Since you checked the turn I like the river check though.

Was your intention to c/r the turn? Or c/c lead? A lot of players wouldn't be able to stop themselves from betting this river. I like if you're confident that he'll take a stab.

He isn't.

Its simply more expected value than betting, because the only hands that would call a bet on this river would bet themselves if checked to.

ok well i checked, he bet 200 with KcQs, i made it 1k and he called. i think this line is best here but most people wouldn't check river very much after the turn c/r misses.

I love check turn, check river w monster.

Either that or bet turn when you complete vs fish cuz usually they think "no way he's betting that flush if he just made it".

vnh
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

i didnt bet turn because i thought it would be easier to stack him if he had smaller clubs. if the PFR had called my flop bet i think i would have bet again because his hand range is more defined.

This line is awesome, he is probably going to bet a high club (or nothing) if checked to, and may think you're FOS and call a substantial check raise. I think leading the river would be better if the river was a blank definitely.

Nh, you play good.

Don't know anything about 2K NL, but this doesn't seem right. A low flush is more likely to get away from a c/r than a lead.

And what about sets/2p?

As played, river.

By betting the turn he can raise you with sets, two pair, bluffs AND flush's. If he does this you have a nice out of control pot with THe nuts, which is exactly what you want. If you don't bet the turn the pot is still nicely in control, if he bets the turn and you checkraise you make your hand brutally obvious and ONLY get paid off by other flushes. You are giving the most hands an opportunity to fold whilst only getting marginally more value out of him by trying to check raise.
