Sure looks like your TPGK may be beat there. He could also be playing JJ and picked up the flush draw on the turn but that's alot less likely than AK or AT. He may be playing AJ. You gotta think he would raise you based on the drawing possibilities, but your bets seem to indicate you are not drawing. Since he raised it PF I would have considered playing the hand a little more passive. Smaller raises and calls.
I would have lightened up on the turn bet to see if he would call or raise. This might have given you some information on the strength of his hand. I would have bet $1 on the flop and maybe $1.50 on the turn. A raise on the turn would tell me I am beat. A call means he may be drawing or be sitting on a weak TP.

I would check this flop and see what happens.

Let me guess, you're food cupboards are stored in alphabetical order?
Ive also added pot amounts to make things clearer. Dimitri i think $1 into a $3 pot is too small? I always bet at leats half pot, maybe a $1.5 bet here would have been good to keep the pot slightly smaller and commit myself less.

thanks for the insights guys... my game is very aggressive *POST flop when I have a hand* (TP or better) or after beign PF aggressor.. i raise and re-raise to find out where I am. I need to start working out when its best to switch gears and move onto the back foot a little and turn into 'let me call down for cheap mode' which is something I normally never do but would of been handy here.
At the river i stupidly raised $3 ...pretty much commiting myself and he re-raised allin for ~$5-6 more. I know im not beating much but I called due to pot odds and luckily he turned AJ
