I'm still new to NL holdem. Looking for comments on this hand. The guy that reraised me couldn't even beat a pair of 7's? QJ, WTF? Should I have just tried to limp in? I'm guessing the small raise was dumb.

First thing: Minimum raise = bad. It's weak and is not going to represent any strength by you nor is it going to make anyone fold. I would be folding Arag offsuit UTG. Although at those lower blinds I do find myself loosening up on my starting hands so I may have tried to limp.

Secondly, I think it was a terrible call by Rockfly with QJo. He may have thought that thakilla was just trying to buy one being that he was pretty short-stacked so he thought he would gambe and it didn't work out.

Fnord,

I know it wasn't a suckout but that doesn't change the fact that the river saves! Although I didn't know I was behind on the flop until the hand was over it still feels good to have my hand hold up.
