BankItDrew will become famous soon enough
I don't have any reads on these guys, but I want to know if these are wreckless plays or what? I know that in hand 1 I put the guy on a bluff, hence the call, check call line. Hand 2, I was trying to rep a big hand by pushing a scare card on the river. The important thing though was there was a lot behind both of us.

Thanks.

Hand 1: Your turn bet screamed weakness so you got raised. Looks like villain has an overpair to me. If you thought he was weak, you should have bet the turn hard since you picked up the OESD. That was your chance to take the pot without a showdown or see how strong is hand was. As played, you can't tell what he has and it is likely that you lost the hand. In addition, your line doesn't scream set so villain must have picked up on that....sets don't bet out on the flop, esp on that board.

Hand 2: I've seen this line a lot recently. Seems to be the favorite bluff line nowadays. I used to fold to these allins on the river but I mostly call them now. My bankroll has thanked me. 90% of the time, this is a bluff and if villain is aware, he will call you with any decent hand. It is an effective line against most newbie players, but not against regulars. Just be careful...
