Spoony135: very nice
H@££INGGOL: not really i feel sad
H@££INGGOL: but ty
curzdog: sick that you layed that
curzdog: few would
H@££INGGOL: only thing i beat is JJ
ineedfood: meeep
curzdog: anyone else lay that down?
curzdog: well, very good fold
H@££INGGOL: thx
curzdog: i think i could fold it against a rock, but i think you and i play pretty loose sometimes so i was surprised you did
curzdog: but your right, what else could i have.. would i push that hard with much else..
H@££INGGOL: i dont wanna explain how i thought but yeah
O_O i would never ever think of acually laying it down.....when the hand happened i put Hallin on K10 or trips or maybe JJ(since he was debating to call or to fold). But damn laying down AQ on this board, thats incredible. I guess thats why hes the greatest.

Stop playing too many tables with no reads and this laydown is anything but impossible.
I've been on a run where I've made a lot of stupid river insta-calls with pretty hands when if I really put my opponent on a hand I could have layed it down.
Finally, consider that H@LL could have AKo here and putting on a show. I'd have to see his hole cards to believe anything.

Scratch AKo. H@LL has exactly KQs here.
I love his 5th street play.

That makes perfect sense. There is no way that AQ isn't playing for stacks there after calling those huge bets on the flop and turn

When you think about it, i think folding it to a real big ROCK is possible....i mean what the hell is the rock going all in with?
Some players in 10/20(Rekrul for example) are major rocks who would never push this river whitout at least AA/AQ.
curzdog is not exactly a rock but i don't think he would do such a foolish bluff on this board. I think only hands curz make this play with is AA AQ or maybe a bluff if hes very very confident hall will fold.
If he lyed, hes a fucking good actor for sure. He don't have to build a conservative image, everyone knows how loose he is. He really used all his time bank and he really had an hard decision. Hal knows curz won't raise to 260 pre flop with nothing and he called all the way.
OH and we all know stars is crazy enough to put such setups from time to time(we seen worst).

I agree. I think the deck of cards in my poker chip case must have a chemical imbalance and be clinically insane or something as well, because I have seen it do some crazy things from time to time. I should refer it to a psychiatrist and have it get a prescription or something.

Yea when we look at it now, with the results, its logical that he fold but when your in the action....i would never think of folding AQ on this board.
But if you ask yourself opponement's possible holding....he only beats JJ or stone bluff

Yeah...if he did have AQ, then that's a crazy laydown. But looking at the HH, it's not so crazy at all. That's why he's "the best."

I've done the same thing Fnord has done a few times...Last night I basically insta-called a river all-in when the board paired...The stacks weren't too deep so it didn't cripple me. But the way the hand went down I *knew* had had two pair that turned into a full boat on the river...and my straight was no longer the best hand. Could have saved me $30.

I don't see why AA/QQ would bet so hard here, particularly the turn bet seems odd to me.

Don't try to understand Top players of 10/20's play......i often watch them and i often try to put them on hands and its very hard to do. I'm a formidable reader at 50 Nl and my reads are very often wrong at 2000 NL(im talking about reading top players here, like bet2win, hallin, curz, twin, etc).

Thats basicelly why its a super lay down since 99.999% of the people would not even consider folding a possibility and just insta call.

definatley a show I dont think hes calling a reraise with KQ... unless its soooted or even AQ, there are few hands that reraise preflop which AQ outflops. AK is what I think is being layed down here.

even if he is laying down something worse than AQ, his table talk indicates that he knows that EVEN AQ might not be good -- and THATS why hes so fucking good.
