Hello,

I am new here, so I hope this is the right forum and in the right format. First off, I'd like to say this isn't a bad beat hand, as I was not involved. This hand took place at an Indian casino in Oklahoma that I played at last night. I've seen some bad plays online in my time, but I think this could possibly be the worst hand I've ever witnessed. Extremely poorly played at every stage by at least one of the players. I'm sure everyone has seen tons of poorly played hands, but for this amt of money, you'd think people would play as good as possible.

The game: 1-2 NL, min buy in $100, max buy in $300. VERY loose/crazy play. People will play an open ended straight and nut flush draw like they have the best hand possible.

The hand: Sorry I don't have exact chip stacks, but I remember the most important parts.

2nd to act preflop raises to $10 dollars, his chip stack is approximately $250-300. Table folds around to an asian guy playing extremely loose/unpredictable. The guy is 2 out from the button and makes it $20 to go. Big blind, who 2 hands earlier lost $200 on his 1st hand with 2 pair to a flopped flush, calls. Initial raiser RE-raises to $52. Both guys call him preflop.

Flop:

Big blind checks, initial raiser bets $30, late position calls, big blind calls.

Turn:

Everyone checks.

River:

Big blind checks, initial raiser bets $25, late position calls, big blind re-raises to $75 total. Initial raiser folds, late position calls. They all turn over their cards, even the guy that folded...

Big blind shows: Ah4h
Caller shows: KhKd
Guy that folds: AsAc

Now, I'm no poker pro, but jesus, this was just horrible. The guy doing the raising and re-raising preflop played the hand great, but then lost his mind. The guy with KK, well, he was the loosest player I've ever been at a table with. That Ah4h would win a $3oo-400 pot (not sure exactly what it was), re-raised pre-flop to $52, then calls with no pair no draw on the flop, is just sad. The guy that made it $52 before the flop only made matters worse when he bets $30 into a $160 pot on the flop. I'm not quite sure why the 8h on the turn would make anyone slow down, it's going to be hard to put someone on Q10 calling $52 preflop, unless you think someone is slowplaying a set of jacks. Then, for the guy that made it $52 to go preflop to bet $25 into a $250+ pot when the 7h comes on the river is just plain stupid. If you check the turn, why bet now? The guy with Kings was one of the worst players ever, I expected him to call everything, it didn't matter. What's funny is he complained about pocket Kings always costing him money for about 10 minutes after this hand. As for the guy with Ah4h, well, at least he had an explanation for why he played it...After stacking his chips he yells out "I'M DRUNK EVERYBODY! I HAD A FEELING! I TOLD YOU I HAD A FEELING, WHOOOO!"

So, other than maybe something in a .01/.02 micro NL online game, do you think this could be one of the worst poker hands you've ever seen? Also, am I pretty much spot on in my analysis of how everyone played this hand poorly?

I'm more curious as to where in Oklahoma this is - as I'm in north texas probably about an hour from OK and might drive up for this kinda action

You know what's really cool. The guy that won because he went with "his feeling", he just got reinforced in his gambling superstitions. This means, he'll probably gamble away many many times what he won here in the future, savoring this one.
