I'm having problems making profit at $10nl and $25nl 6-max. I have spotted a problem which maybe that I'm not winning enough (sounds obvious I know).

The average no. of players at my table is 5.46 which means I 'should' have won 18.3%. However I have won only 10.44% of games. I play a 18/10 game so is this just a necessary product of playing TAGish?

If you're winning big pots it shouldn't be a problem.

Its not how many pots you win its how much money you win of course. Just remember that. Also, I play full ring but those stats look pretty tight even for a tag at 6max. Especially at the lower levels you should be playing more hands and taking advantage of others mistakes. (or try full ring for a while and see how it goes)

I have never played 6max for any extended period of time, so I don't know all that it entails. But my perspective on it is that it would take more experience to play than fullring, as the hands showdown is much weaker, which means you will need to be fairly more accurate when reading hands. Also as a result of this, you will need to understand position and exploitation of players better to make the correct moves when the chance arises.

It seems that most 10nl players don't possess all those abilities yet, or at least they aren't developed enough yet. While that means your opponents at 6max don't understand the concepts yet, I would seriously recommend heading to FR and playing a few thousand hands. It still allows for stealing pots, etc. when in position, but you can also be profitable at microstaks by nitting up and playing only solid value.
