Maybe that is why I shouldn't bluff. Correct my play please. I was repping the nut flush. Should I check the turn and big bet the river? Give me tips on playing this hand to win/bluff.

Ah, silly dimonds, didn't notice the board went flush
That would surely tip off the aware player on the turn. Since he called on the turn it's pretty safe to say he's not very aware or has Kd. But you have Kd. So he doesn't. So he's not aware. Save yourself $5 and don't fire the second barrel. Then open up the player notes and say "don't bluff this guy".
In other words, now that I'm reading the hand right - good turn, bad river. This guy just wasn't ment to be bluffed...and there might very well be a lot of those at your limits, but surely not all.

You paid $5 to get a fantastic bit of information about this
player.
He will call huge reraises on a flush board with only top pair
good kicker...
Add him to your buddy list and don't bluff - just take all of
his money with a real flush next time.

If you bluff and get called, isn't it a bit results-oriented to say it was a bad spot to bluff?

If you are talking to me, I am merely asserting too many opponents will call you down with a scary board at my level(25NL) to bluff profitably. This makes playing ABC, boring poker a neccesity until I can move up limits.
At least I am glad you all don't think this play is horrible. Thanks for the input.

Or, you need to get better at spotting who can be bluffed and who can't. Surely not everyone at $25NL is a callathon like this fella.

I would have raised him on the flop, if he called I would engage check and fold mode unless I improved. Players at $25 tend to call most bets after the flop if they like their flopped hand. Certaintly once he calls the $2 on the flop you have to give it up. On the plus side, think of all their $$ with your name on them when you do have a hand!
One of my pet peeves is also players who win a 'monster' and just leave, what are they planning on doing; running off to Mexico to live the good life on the interest!?!

i think this is quite a nice bluff played quite well (as long as you dont do it often) but i think it is probably played against the wrong player.
I play micro limits (pennies) but from what i have read of hand histories on this forum a typical 25/50 player wont fold often enough here to be profitable.
It is better to listen to those who play your stakes, but where i play it is much better to just play your cards or make opponents with nothing fold than to try and bluff opponents with any sort of hand.
Far to often a player will call with a weak pair of Aces because OMFG AA is the highest pair you can get!!
As it happens this guy had a queen kicker and was even less likely to fold.
The problem with this bluff as i see it is that on this board (at these stakes) is the hands you are being called with until the river are a flush draw (any flush draw from some players) or an ace, both of which beat you and both of which will almost certainly call the river

nice bluff, I play 0.5/1 on bodog, and I NEVER do that unless I know for a FACT that the guy im trying to bluff is a thinking player. Ppl even at this lvl have a tendency to hold on to theyr made hands no matter the cost. So I dont bluff unless I know theyr capable of laying down.

lol you should have bet and gave him slightly 3.5 to 1 pot odds on the flop then he might have believd your bluff...... a 3 dollar bet on 10 dollar pot on the river would almost make him fold then your weak ass all in HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
OH and one more thing dont bluff anyone who you percieve as a chaser with no hand... they will call you down with ace high card!!!!
