Villain is ottergolf11, a tricky aggressive player, definitely capable of making moves and bluffing. Whats your play on the turn and river and why?

I don't see how that 6 changed much. If you thought you were good on the turn, then call the river too.

thats disgusting...it really comes down to your full knowledge of the other player's habits
it's too hard to decide given the info you gave

They don't call JJ fishhooks for nothing...
Bet the flop?? Re-raise when he check-raises?? Villian may be "tricky" but you've gotta represent some of the strength you raised PF with... JJ is not a good trapping hand...
Turn: Are you playing with scared money?? You bet $35 into a $50 pot, he senses obvious weakness so he raises.. you confirm his read by just calling his raise, He knows you don't have AA, KK, or QQ here... You look like you are playing AK, AQ here and trying to buy the pot... He's representing the 7 here, but I highly doubt he has it, he doesn't want a call here.
River: Perfect scare card for the villian! He bets strong into you believing you have AK and can't call (effectivly he went AI, though to go AI would look like a bluff... and he wants to look strong). I put villian on nothing better than KQs and YHIG! CALL! For the number of times that he'll have a 7 or 6 in this situation, I'll bet you have him beat 4 out of 5 times here. Alternately, if he had gone AI (for $10 more) I'd give him credit for the 7 or 6, and likely fold...
You needed info on the flop to see if he had 9T. Or at least to see if he likes his hand at all. As played, I would say that mostly you are winning the river here. Villian is totally trusting his read, and likely doesn't want a call...Disappoint him.

Forgot 1 thing though...
is 5xBB a normal PFR at this level? It seems to be a little much, I would say a 3-4BB raise would be a better choice, so that you don't have "tricky" players check-raise bluff you off of a good size pot... It would've made a WORLD of difference as to how this hand was played...

the six changed alot if he had the seven.
The six would have given him a full boat with the sevens and he would no longer fear the possible straight on the board.
Granted he might have been bluffing, but all of his actions throughout this hand blatantly suggested he had the seven.
Preflop: Limp (utg nonetheless but maybe he's mixing up his play)
Flop: Sees the straight and his middle pair, doesn't think his hand is good yet. You give him a free card and...
Turn: Bingo! Three of a kind, but still afraid you're slow possibly slowplaying the straight. You fire what is obviously a feeler bet and now he's less convinced you have the straight so he raises thinking his hand is good.
River: Bingo! Full boat and now he's certain he's winning this hand.

I don't see how he's afraid of the straight. PFR with T9? I don't think so.. I think the 7 may have actually given him a flush draw on the turn and thinks that you are trying to buy the pot on the turn after you showed weakness on the flop. River bet is a scare bet in my opinion. I'd call this.

lotsa people call pfrs with T9s
I know alot of my opponents do. I have had several cases where I raise with TT and get called by 89 only to see a flop of TJ7.

I'm saying that a raise is not likely from T9. You said that the villain would be afraid of T9, and I said that that is unlikely, since hero raised, and villain called.

Betting the flop makes your decisions this hand MUCH easier.
Villain's line here doesn't make much sense. checks through flop, c/r, lead?
What do you expect on the turn facing the c/r, him to check the river again? I'm with Fnord on this, if you call the turn bet, I think you have to call this river.

You can't base your stack off this read, but it certainly leans toward a call. If you do and he shows a horridly played QQ-AA, that's poker. Do you think he is open limping a hand with a 6 or 7 in it? 66/77 seem unlikely, and checking 88 on flop and turn seems too donkish. I feel you may be best here.
What does he have? who knows.
What does he think I have? AK/AQ.
What does he think I think he has? lol, who knows.
Just bet the flop...

Trips eights fits the mold the most. I would put him on boat. You missed out on a lot of info by not firing a bet on the flop. It might be a bluff on the river, but are you willing to risk a huge portion of your stack with an overpair and not much information?
