dannyd267 ????????
Villain looks to be pretty tight. I haven't seen him in a lot of hands. I really wish the 7 would've hit on me OESD. I did hit the straight but I think he did too with the KJ with his dream Q hitting on the river.
My thinking is that this would be a crying call and I don't have enough chips in the pot to make it worth my while. Just want to know what people are saying when they make these HUGE bets.

Either its a bluff, or designed to look like a bluff trying to induce a call from someone holding a J.
You should have been more aggressive with this hand (raise flop, at least - but don't get married to the hand).
As played, fold. Get your money in at a better time. The pot's too small to worry about it.

Looks like he wants you to call and pay him. Tough spot to fold though, but I'm thinking you're splitting at best.
You really should raise pre-flop here with AJo IMO.

I made the same move on party last year, and this guy paid off 200BB on the river.
Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
9 players
Stack sizes:
SB: $56.85
xxJimmyMacxx: $50.80
Pre-flop: (9 players) xxJimmyMacxx is BB with J A
2 folds, MP1 calls, 4 folds, SB calls, xxJimmyMacxx checks.
Flop: K 2 T ($0.75, 3 players)
SB checks, xxJimmyMacxx checks, MP1 checks.
Turn: Q ($0.75, 3 players)
SB checks, xxJimmyMacxx bets $0.5, MP1 folds, SB calls.
River: 9 ($1.75, 2 players)
SB checks, xxJimmyMacxx is all-in $50.05, SB calls.
Results:
Final pot: $101.85
SB lost $50.80 amd showed 8 J
xxJimmyMacxx won $50.80 and showed J A
lol. Don't be that guy.

Really, though, you should fold. These bets are usually saying "please, pay me off. I've got a big hand and I want to make it look like I'm bluffing so you'll call". And when they're not, let them have the small pot.
Here's one I dug up from awhile ago. To be fair, I was playing LAggy, so that's probably the only reason he called.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
Hero ($74.84)
UTG ($126.71)
Button ($19.70)
SB ($1.85)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 5 , 4 . SB posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds, Hero checks.
Flop: ($0.60) 4 , 4 , Q (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks.
Turn: ($0.60) A (2 players)
Hero bets $1, UTG calls $1.
River: ($2.60) 5 (2 players)
Hero calls $73.59 (All-In), UTG calls $73.59.
Final Pot: $149.78
Results below:
Hero has 5h 4s (full house, fours full of fives).
UTG has Qh 6d (two pair, queens and fours).
Outcome: Hero wins $149.78.

I used to think the same thing. It's rare. It helps, however, if you have a poor table image and have shown several bluffs.
Next time you have a monster and a pitifully small pot, just try pushing. You might get more marginal hands to call than you would by value betting (and it doesn't have to work nearly as often). Note: I define "monster" here to be something like nut straight w/5 straight on board (or 4-straight), or a boat that you wouldn't mind paying off a larger boat with (i.e. pushing with 99 on a K9664 board is better than pushing with 99 on a A933A board)
I remember reading a thread somewhere about people open-pushing with AA from the SB. I tried that recently. BB thought a long time about it, before saying something like "what u got?" then "K7" and folded.

thanks for the info guys. I did end up laying it down after I thought about a while. I actually let the timer run all the way down. I just pictured some guy sittin at his computer saying "C'mon, do it...do it..DO IT....Call me you BASTARD!!!!!!!!" I let him keep my 2 dollars.
I have also been on the "winning" end of this with the nut straight with a guy calling my all-in with the lower straight...good times. And yes, I didn't want to be that guy.
BTW. This is a great site, You guys are the best and have the best feedback out there.
