well I think it was a good bluff anyway...

it happened last night at my home game. 6 people left, im 2nd big stack at table on the button.

I get dealt A-5s and call a reasonable raise from the SB (SB is semi loose player preflop). no other player calls.

Flop comes up rainbow K-4-9. SB bets quite big, so I immediately know he doesnt have kings (otherwise he definitely wood have gone all in). I call (because I decide Im going to bluff him oout as Im sure he has a pair 9s (a high pocket pair is outta the question).

Turn is some useless junk like a 7 . He bets and I raise, he calls.
River is Queen, he checks (he never check raises) so I bet out two thirds of my stack and he thinks it over for like half an hour then folds his 8-9s face up.

Normally I never show my hole cards but decided to show this time to put him on tilt! and yip he went on tilt.

I love a successful bluff.
It's hard work. Gambling. Playing poker. Think about what it's like sitting at a poker table with people whose only goal is to cut your throat, take your money, and leave you out back talking to yourself about what went wrong inside.

Great use of that retrieved knowledge you had of your adversary.
Both, betting tendencies and Tilt!
If he doesn’t change his playing style for the next game,
you know what we call them people don’t ya?
