Read on opponent: lots of Ultimate Bet players like to keep clicking "bet pot" with unimproved overcards.

I was thinking here I might be betting the best hand, and if not, I have a good chance of making him fold, with an assload of outs if he calls.

Thoughts on this play?

You got your read right. His fold probably means you had the best had anyway.

As a word of caution, I play a lot at Ultimate Bet, and also noticed lots of players bet half the pot with unimproved overcards, like you said. But I have formerly been caught a few times using this read where players are actually betting the pot with at least TPGK. So just be warned about that.
