I knew he didn't have Ax of hearts or he would slow play it more. He was too agressive right off the flop, so I figued he had just the Ace of hearts, or a baby Heart flush already made.

Once I had two pair, I knew I was ahead of anything but a set, and my Jack of hearts would be my out if he did have a baby flush, Plus I had full house outs..

The push looks foolish now considering he did have the flush, but what do you guys think?

I have no other read on this guy..

Why not just call the turn? I don't know if everyone else agrees with this, but i always think if i'm willing to go all in with my hand (two pair + 2nd highest flush draw...so lots of outs) on the turn, and i'm closing the betting on that round, why not just call and see the river for cheaper then go all in? At least this way you get to see what he does one more time.

This is one of those situations where only a better hand would call

I guess I usually don't like to call bets that large. The 6$ bet would have been over 1/4 of my stack. If I call it, and hit my heart on the river, I'm either going to make no $$$ because he will fold his baby flush, or I will be dead agaisn't his A of hearts.

If I call and miss my flush I have to just fold to any bet, because I won't even have a scare card to bet at..

Looking over it again, a push/fold situation seems to be the only option to me.

I just don't ever call in situations like this, unless we were deeper stacked of course.

Exactly.

There's no logical reason to push with two pair QJ. What hand is behind that will call this? Two pair Q8? First you have to consider the odds he would have that hand vs a set, straight, flush, or KQ which ALL beat you, and then you would have to consider the odds he's gonna call with it.

I understand you were watching a board coordinate heavily and had two pair, but the fact is he raised you, which makes it more likely he isn't drawing. He either already has you beat, or won't call an all in. Sometimes you have to allow the board to do it's thing in the name of showing down cheaply if that's your goal. This is especially true heads up. If you are trying to chase off, then be more than sure your opponent isn't already made. There's way too much out there to risk it.

I think this is the most common big mistake I see.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.
