You know how it sometimes is, you can play for hours and not hit anything worth playing.
do you loosen up a bit? Lower the calling requirements or just stick with a solid game and play it patiently waiting for cards.?

1000 hands thout a single face card shouldnt change how you play the next hand.

Play every hand like it's your first hand (other than taking into account what you know of the players and what they know of you)

Q. Is poker Gambling?
A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

The only time you should change your game at all after a run of cold cards is by maybe making a move or two when you know your table image is very tight (because you havent gotten cards to play) and you are confident that you have the fold equity to make the move profitable.

Don't call a big raise with KJ suited just because you havent had a hand that good in the last 5 orbits. Thats tilt.

Find a new table becuase you're probably not prepared to make the adjustments to your play to capitilize on your table image so just get a fresh table open

If the table is a bunch of loose fish, then obviously you have to keep waiting for cards if you want to play profitably, but otherwise you can start playing more loose aggressive, which is what I often do.

I think loosening calling requirements is a pretty bad idea under any circumstance.

Well I mean you should see a flop from the BB at least once in 3 orbits in loose/passive games preflop. If you pick up a draw, bet and watch everyone fold

I don't think he actually meant loosen up as in playing marginal hands, but just changing gears like trying to get in cheap with mid suited connectors in late position when you (if your that type) would normally throw them away, I think that is what he means.

When I get a long period of cold cards and I am playing online I just go do something else if I already have a general feel of how the people at my table play. That way you aren't staring at the screen panicking when you should be patient.

If you feel that you are being blinded away because you can't even raise or call a hand due to cold cards, get up, go walk around your place grab a drink, breathe then come back and start kicking butt.
