Thoughts: I've been playing tight and solid. Took somebody's 50BB stack earlier with AA v KQ on K high flop. Been picking up small pots here and there recently. Havn't seen a whole lot of villain but he seems alright. I'm at my new place (no pokertracker yet) so no hard stats, but I havn't seen anything out of the ordinary.

Thoughts on hand: considered raising flop, but I felt my strong but beatable hand along with my position and image just warranted a call. His preflop line all but rules out KK-AA, quads is obviously very unlikely, and I don't think he bets 99 this agressively. I could be wrong on all, but just my observations.

His turn bet confused me to say the least.. it was just begging to be raised. Do I raise and play for stacks?

River is very easy with the Q out here. More importantly, if river blanks, how do I play this? Fold to third lead OOP into PFRer?

As played, what do you do on a blank river? K/A river?

Check river unimproved.

Missed the "as played" part.

I think he thinks he has a hand. If an A or K falls and he makes that bet, then I often lay it down. Hence, I'd rather settle things on the turn if I don't think he's capable of putting me to a difficult decision.

I think it's sometimes a better line than calling with a showdownable hand. Although I tend to pick spots in where the paradox of worse hands calling and better hands folding sometimes holds.

how much of a key is position here?
I think position allows us to call the turn and then simply decide on the river
Or does position give us the oppertunity to push opp off his hand and/or define his hand to us so that we dont need to put anymore in the pot on the river?

Huge. A turn raise has good implied threat.

Yup. Although I prefer to do this with stronger/weaker hands than our hero has here.
