Seat 5: edudlive mucked [Qd Qh]
Seat 6: deek420 folded before Flop (didn't bet)

I gave him crappy odds on the flop, better odds on the river (but I figured he'd fold for 1/3-1/4 of his stack), I liked how he tried to get me to bet the river, I knew what he had.

You played this hand perfectly. Villain is a donk. Just say "Thanks for checking." And get ready for the next hand.

What you can do in the future is overbet more when you think he is drawing. You know he'll call outside his odds, so don't borderline it. Slam him with pot sized bets instead of 3/5ths of the pot when you have an over pair or TPTK. This is just a bad beat, don't let it tilt ya.

Edit: Did not notice he had a gutshot too when i first replied to this...He isn't as dumb as i thought but still a really dumb check on the river by him when he was obviously drawing.

Well, lets see. His ace was weak, so even though it was a true out...to him it wasn't really an out (since I could easily have raised PFR with a much stronger ace)

3 outs for the gutshot (since one of them is a heart) + 9 for the flush = 12

He only needed 2-to-1 on his money I guess then (48% chance) but still, a bad move I'd think for a lot of your stack.

I really liked the check too, since I knew he was drawing..it proved he was drawing against odds and I got to see for free!
