I am wrestling around with this one. Maybe it was too risky.

No real reads, his bet smelled like jacks or queens tho.

?

I don't mean to be persistent, I just want to move this thread up in the line so I can see what others think.

First of all JTs is a bit weak for opening the pot for a raise in 4th position. I dont mind calling the reraise from the blind as you rate to get paid off nicely if you hit a hand.

On the flop your opponent made a rather weak bet (less than half the pot). this looks like a probe bet to me. He doesnt rate to have a four since he did reraise preflop. He would probably have wanted to bet more if he had a king to prevent the two remaining players from getting a cheap draw at a flush. He is most likely on a middle to high pair less than kings and is just hoping that noone has a king or a four and will fold.

All things considered your raise represented top pair looking to move out draws and it worked. I like that you picked up on the weak bet of your opponent and moved him off the hand.

the JT play was a mixup play

Mainly taking advantage of my ultratight image (my non-blind vpip is less than 10%)

This all comes down to reads. If you know that opp will cont bet and that he will lay down to strength then nice play. If opp is a calling station then bad play.
