Silly String
The opponent just sat back down. This is his first hand back. I don't have any previous player notes. He played for 2 orbits earlier winning two decent hands without showing down. Agg, fairly tight but no rock/set hunter. The table is a little rocky(under 30%), with a weekday lunchtime crowd.

I did some research on this fellow after the hand. Do any of you change your mind if I have the following notes on the player?
He plays 6+ tables at a time.

I think you call, it seems like a raise he'd make with nothing or top pair.

Or a raise with a set knowing it'll be tough for you to lay down AA/KK.

I think he's got a set. In general, people don't check raise that much on a bluff for almost half their stack in a ring game. He's either got a set or is semi bluffing with 99 or the nut flush draw (AQ spades). I'd probably call but expect to be in bad shape. Also, him playing 6 tables tells me he's pretty experienced.

I hate tables like this casting my eye over the seats this guy jumped out

Seat 1: toluschev ($43.35 in chips)

Also a multi table set hunter. I stopped paying him off a while back. On the plus side he isnt getting away from AA and you know when he has it.

I dont think he has J 10 or the straight, you are really hoping he has AJ and puts you on a continuation bet with AK. Also with the re-raise call we cant rule out AA, some multi tablers will ONLY be on these or pockets when re raises start; if this is the case you have had it as he is only attacking flop if he is ahead. My experience of these tables is if someone is a tight multi gamer and they start coming back you are normally beaten but also you can't go laying down KK to every re-raise.

I'll probably push and give it a 'yawn' when he turns over JJ or 10 10 and update his player notes. If it was a nice player who had bought in for $15.76 on one table it would be auto call time.

AA (maybe, not as likely if he has a low enough opinion of you to think he can get it all-in pre-flop against QQ/JJ/AK.)
QQ (most likely)
JJ (possible)
TT (possible)
A K/A Q
AJ (Do the nits still bother to raise this up? If it's s00ted?)
Other random sooted stuff (probably not if he's 6 tabling, might actually have to play poker, god forbid.)

How would he play a set? The c/r is sending an awefully strong signal to fold. I would expect a bet/re-raise or a raise to something more playable like $12.

I gamble here.

Thanks for the tip, but yeah, I already have him noted, he's up there with UMichguy, blizz and a bunch of other set-hunters. I hadn't seen Cutsss before, so I didn't know he was a MTB weakstick dirty rotten set-hunter. Now I know . . . more good discussion and we'll have the reveal after this break brought to you by . . . www.donkeysRus.com

RESULTS:

Silly String: raises $5.30 to $20.30 and is all-in
Cutsss: calls $5.30
*** TURN *** A
*** RIVER *** J
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Cutsss: shows A A (a full house, Aces full of Jacks)
Silly String: mucks hand
Cutsss collected $43.80 from pot
YoureDoomed said, "heh"
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $46.05 | Rake $2.25

As the turn and river played out I knew I was screwed. Any A or J just beat my hand. Somehow I convinced myself he was overbetting the pot with a semi-bluff KQ or AQ. Is that a reasonable assumption? I guess he gave me a $20 lesson on his MO. Sethunting, no cahones having, can't play real poker, tricky bastard. I discounted his AA thinking he would have pushed pre-flop and my biggest concern was JJ & TT obviously. Given the possible holdings that Fnord gave above. I guess I am leading often enough to call a push. What do you think?

Problem is: I think I am second guessing myself only because now I know he is a sethunter. If I take a step back, I realize this is a push everytime versus random $25NL players.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.
