At Bodog 10nl the way you played Hand 1 is fine because they can't lay down top pair or most 8/9 out draws the vast majority of the time. However, it's not like this in most places.
Hand 2 is a fold. I think.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

#1 is fine
#2 ís close, we´re getting roughly even money on our call and this is the right spot for a good shortie to bluffshove 77/99/JJ. Maybe I´m leaking here, but I´d look him up pretty light.

#2 It's not so much that I didnt give the short stack credit for making a play on me, but more of a leak of mine that I usually call down the sortstacks lighter/ try to abuse them too much. I don't know about this particular play, but think that these folds actually save me money in the long run. Correct me if I'm wrong.
