I don't think that you can really apply realy poker concepts to the play money tables. Q2s is a crap hand at the best of times, but I find that it's even crappier at play money tables (without a Q-Q-Q or Q-Q-2 flop). Unless you have the nuts at those tables you are going to lose. With every player calling pre-flop, you pretty much have to have the best hand to win.

For example, in a real money game, you probably won't come up against anyone betting $10 on a flush draw to the river, but in this game you did.

I used to play the play money tables because I enjoy playing low stakes for fun but it just wasn't that much fun. I decided to put $50 onto a site and play at the .01/.02 $2 NL tables. The play there is still not great, but at least it seems that most people try to apply actual poker concepts to the game.

It was play money, Corey. Even if the dealer only gave me one hole card every time (and every time it was a 3h) I'd call to see a flop.

And lets even say for arguments sake you checked in from the bb or raised on the button to try and steal and you faced that flop with that hand.

3 suits on the flop means a person with a solitary K or A of that suit is drawing on nuts and second nuts so you have to bet them off thier draw to protect your made hand.

but yeah, don't play Q2.
My biggest leak early on like alot of people would be playing andy Face with a rag. All that does is give you a dominated hand that you can justify calling with which means your just handing out cash to the good players.

After alittle while playing multi-tabling keeps you from getting bored and lets you keep your starting requirements up.
