Many a player here has been paranoid of the straight flush possiblity in the past. I argue however that the straight flush possiblity is too rare to not go all-in here everytime (plus they probably would have raised the turn instead of checking). Sure enough it was some idiot with the third nut flush thinking it was good..

EDIT: Read my reply further down if you want a good follow-up.

Wait, I don't think anyone is folding here thinking of the straight flush. I'm more worried about the Ace.

I don't even like the re-raise by you.

Yeah, the first reraise is questionable and the all-in is a really poor play, I think. If you're raised on a four flush board, you should play carefully with anything less than the nut flush, since any decent player would be reluctant to raise with anything less (unless on a bluff).

I think the dual case of him being willing not only to raise without the ace, but also to be willing to call huge reraises without it is so unlikely that this is definitely a losing play. You're lucky this guy is a dumbass.

Oh this was dumb.. I just saw it.. I thought the ace of spades was on the board and it was the ace of something else. Boy did I get lucky lol

I would probably not have even reraised the first time if I had known the ace of spades was still out there.. jeez glad i didnt get punished for that lol

Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it, I hold its unlikely he has the ace of spades here. The ace bets on the flop (espically with position) which he did not do. If he had A of spades plus another spade I could see him concievably checking the flop but he would raise the turn. Plus his minraise on the river screams Q or J but not A (people are known to overbet an A in the hopes of extracting more money out of a Q or K). So I think my first reraise was OK afterall. My second reraise however was questionable, though might have merit since he becomes commited when I make it and still calls with a Q (which I think he is far more likely to have). Btw, I knew this guy was a bit of a fish from the beginning, and had him read for a Q or J. Just didnt see that ace at all!

second river re-raise is very bad unless you know this player to make horrible calls. there is no way i would call without an ace there.
