he was new to the table only a few rounds.. he was fairly loose thats the only thing i had, no weird plays or anything noted down yet..

should i have pushed (is that like all in or just a good solid bet !?) earlier or when i had the str8 Ace high ?

No, not when there is a 3 flush on the board.

I quite like this play, you were very careful when the straight hit so that you could fold without a problem if the 4 flush did hit, executed perfectly.

turns out the guy basically bluffed at the end, but i had no read on him, so that to me is a waste of 5bucks even i do win with either the str8 or flush..

Reraise that big, $10-15, see where you're at and represent Ks or Qs yourself. He'll push if he's got it, fold if he has a crappy kicker or worse, and even then I have trouble laying down the 3rd nut flush, especially at these stakes.

Or you can raise big on the turn. You have Js backing you up against people with low kicker flushes and the nut straight backing you up against any aces or trips.

I wouldn't limp KJo preflop either at these stakes. To many callers fishing for a piece of the pie. Really here you're looking to see if your TPGK will hold up if you hit it on the flop, so you gotta raise it so you know callers have legit business calling and raisers aren't running low 2 pair.

Where you afraid of the completed flush on the turn, when you "only" had the straight?

I would raise big on the turn to find out if he's on something, maybe $5-10... If he reraises I would fold.

When you compleated your flush on the river I would have bet here too, maybe $3. He either folds or calls then. If he raised I would fold...
