You should post these in high stakes.

I'm torn. I like the push because it screams overbet and you might catch a caller if they have a set or something. But it's unlikely and it probably drive out any lower hands, so you should probably get them to call with a smaller bet. Have to extract value when you have the nuts.

the way the hand played out I thought he had a set and was going for the check raise on the turn. I thought I could get a call from a set so I pushed.

But wont a set re-raise back if you value raise here? Then you can push.
I am more inclined towards sth like "value-over-raising here" but not pushing...

set would call, unless Ks or stupid. if the feeling was they had a set i think it was the right option.
