I was considering just calling preflop, but thought I'd raise because he had position. After the call on the flop I put him on a heart draw, TPTK, or mayyyybe a set/2 pair - although I think he would have re-raised me based on his previous play. I think he would've re-raised KK preflop.

The whole way I was betting around 1/2 of the pot until the river, so it might have appeared weak which could have induced an AI that I'm not sure if I could call. I wanted to bet something though, because I did think I had the best hand. I was just worried that this guy was trickier than I gave him credit for and was holding 2 pair, or quite loose with a str8 (9h Th).

EDIT:

This hand happened with the same person a few orbits earlier and I was looking for comments. After my flop bet got called, I went into check/die mode. Should I have kept up the aggression? I didn't have reads at the time, so I think it's a good laydown.

My continuation bet is usually around 2/3rds of the pot.

I'm beginning to think that I need to have a better read on my opponents in situations like this... in this case I didn't have too much of a chance to get a good read. Smooth calls like this AKo hand unnerve me.
