That turn probably didnt hit anyone and I could easily have a scared J. The pot is pretty big and noone seems to want it. is this a good place to steal? I dont tend to bother unless the pot is HU or 3-way

No, don't steal. You have next to no outs; you will be called by any ace, any two clubs, any jack, any five, KQ, 9T, and lots of 8s will call too, and if they do, you're not going to be able to take it any further, especially as one caller gives each subsequent call better odds. You'll lose far more often than you win.

The flop's a better spot in position as you can rep it...a brick on the turn makes your turn steal transparent...but, regardless, even if they know what you're doing, if noone's caught you'll likely get away with it. You might even be ahead.

Try to steal more when you've got position. Not stealing can be a huge leak.
