I didn't bet the river because I don't see that I have any FE and I'm now not sure I'm ahead and I can't see any decent bet to make. Wrong thinking?

pre-flop seems a bit excessive. you have to call the river. you might as well just put him AI on turn if you're gonna bet $10 and he's got 5 behind. huge PF raises with these kinds of hands can easily lead to big pots OOP with weak hands.

Pf would have been $2, but so many in the pot that I wanted to make it less likely people would call. Taking this pf would have been nice.

Youre both committed on the river so bet if he'll call with more (worse) hands than he bets with and call if hell bet with more than he'll call with.

with a view to what?
check/ Fold if he looks strong and check/raise allin if he looks like hes weak/drawing?

IMO you did this to youself with your preflop raise? Why was it so big? Big preflop raises lead to big pots.
if hes ultra loose you have to push the turn (or checkraise allin).

If hes not then 2 big offsuit cards out of position is not a big pot hand. make a sensible preflop raise instead

I think that I'd try to showdown cheaply with a check call on both turn and river. If faced with heavy betting (ie it looks like villain wants to get AI) I can lay down somewhere.

As played, definitely lead river. None of you can lay down anything at this point, but he'll check behind the hands you beat.

1.75-2$ preflop keeps the pot managable (sp?)

It's OK if too many people call your raises sometimes. With AQ, especially OOP, I'm more worried about keeping the pot kinda small then getting 2 callers.

I think so. I like c/c turn, c/c river, assuming reasonable bets by villain. I also only raise to $1.75 pre-flop.
