I agree it looks like a flush draw - so why no river value bet?

I don't like a value bet here on the river, what worse hands are going to call you?

Without reads on villain, what makes this seem like a flush draw? Most unknowns dont lead and call a raise with a flush draw, you will see a check/call a lot. I wouldnt really be surprised to see a KJ or KQ here. If you are playing KTs I dont think you should be playing it for TP value, you are playing it more for straights or flushes and the times you can pick up an unwanted pot.

i agree with andy on this. i think we see a KJ or KQ here way more often than a flush draw. I would like to see a value bet on the river here.

Exactly the reason that it's likely a missed flush draw If we bet and he has a busted flush, he folds (or possibly check-raise bluffs us out), if he has any better hand, he calls. A bet here puts us in a lose-lose situation. A free showdown is a much better play.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

edit: I'm dumb.

I agree that this could be KJ/KQ, but I don't think there's much value in betting this river, since we'll only get called if it's a split or if we're behind Ax. Sure sometimes we might get him to lay down Kx, but I don't think it's worth a bet.

I check behind the turn. I see no reason to build this pot after the flop, especially when the A falls on the turn. If he bets the river for 1/2 pot or less, I might call, but it's read-dependent. I don't stress about letting this go after he calls my flop raise. As played I check behind the river.
